Daniel Brodie is a North Carolina-based composer, educator, and percussionist who has composed original music across many different genres for numerous short films, video games, animations, concert works, marching band shows, theater, podcasts, and other forms of media. Daniel is passionate about learning all aspects of music to better serve storytelling and world-building in his compositions. He aims to provide creative and original ways of achieving this, and he strives to inspire others through his compositions just like film music has inspired him throughout his life. Daniel thoroughly enjoys the collaboration process of working with many filmmakers, game designers, theater directors, and school music directors.
Daniel is currently pursuing his M.M. in Music Composition for Film and Visual Media at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Daniel graduated with honors from Western Carolina University with a B.S.Ed in Music Education, a B.M. in Music, and a certificate in Music Technology.
Beyond his compositions, Daniel has many years of experience as a music educator, teaching music students at every level from elementary school through college. His background as a percussionist consists of performing solo works, orchestral works, and many musicals at community theaters and universities. This diverse background translates to his writing, informing his rhythmic and versatile approach to collaboration and composition.
